The Water Tape has a

Solinst 101 Water Level Meter:
The Solinst Model 101 Water Level
Meter has been the groundwater industry standard for years. Now a newly
improved reel has raised the standard again. Solinst has listened to their

Operating Principles:
The Model 101 Water Level Meter uses a well designed probe, attached
to a permanently marked polyethylene tape, fitted on a well-balanced reel.
The conductors embedded within the tape each have seven strands of stainless
steel.
The
probe incorporates an insulating gap between electrodes. When contact is made
with water, the circuit is completed, sending a signal back to the reel. This
activates a loud buzzer, and a light.
The
water level is then determined by taking a reading directly from the tape, at
the top of the well casing or borehole. Use of a tape guide gives extra
accuracy and protects the tape.
The high quality storage and winding reel has a convenient carrying handle, a
brake, and a sturdy, stand-alone design. Standard controls include a battery
test button, on/off switch and an internal sensitivity adjustment
Model 101 Probe Options:
All probes are designed to reduce or eliminate problems with cascading
water. The following options are available:
P2 Stainless Steel: with a neoprene strain relief.
0.5" dia. by 7.5" long ( 12.7 mm x 190 mm).
P4 Environmental: stainless steel.
Design permits sub mergence below water. Gives improved operation in
both cascading water and low conductivity water. Negligible water
displacement ensures higher accuracy. The probe pulls apart for easy
cleaning, and decontamination and to accept C4 and T4 Sleeves.- 15.9 mm x 220
mm.
New Mini 101 Water Level
Meter
The
Mini 101 Water Level Meter is ideal for use in narrow diameter applications
as small as 3/8" (10 mm).
The narrow 1/4" (6 mm) tape is mounted on a convenient small reel that
is light weight and fits easily into a backpack. The accurate, flat white
tape is marked each 1/100 ft. or each mm.
The Mini 101 is available in 10m and 20m lengths with a choice of the
1/4" (6mm) P1 probe, or the heavier 3/8" (10mm) P2 probe.

Solinst 122 Interface Meter
Solinst Oil/Water Interface Meters give accurate
measurements of product level and thickness in wells and tanks. The unit
gives quick and easy determination of both floating non-conductive liquids
(L.N.A.P.L.s) and sinking non-conductive liquids (D.N.A.P.L.s). The state-of-the-art
electronics includes automatic circuitry testing every time the ‘On’ button
is used: extended battery life; clear signals; and high accuracy.
Tape guide & carrying bag
The tape guide/datum allows repeatability accurate measurements, even with
different personnel and it also protects the tape from damage on sharp edges
of well casing. A convenient carrying bag with a shoulder strap and a
tape guide are provided.
Tape
The easy-to-read, flat-tape cable uses stranded stainless steel conductors embedded
within polyethylene. The conductors provide strength and prevent cable
stretch. The smooth surface of the tape is easy to clean and
decontaminate. Markings are permanently heat-embossed onto the cable.
DNAPLs
The Model 122 Interface meter measures sinking product directly, with no
correction needed. The factory-sealed probe is pressure proof and tape
lengths are available in a range of lengths up to 500m.
High Quality Design
The state-of-the-art electronics includes automatic circuitry testing with
the ‘On’ button, gives extended battery life, clear signals and high
accuracy.
Infrared refraction is used to detect liquids and conductivity to distinguish
water. Both optical and electronic sensors are precisely at the zero point. A
steady light and tone indicate product, and water is indicated by
intermittent signals.
The
factory sealed probe does not need to be accessed by the user, and the
sensors are protected by a removable PVC shield which allows easy cleaning.
Power is supplied by 2 standard 9V batteries located in easy access drawers
in the reel.
A choice of two probes:
Narrow Diameter P1 Probe
The
16mm diameter stainless steel probe allows easy access through tight spaces
and into narrow wells. The beam is emitted from within a cone-shaped tip made
from a rigid polyurethane material. The tip is protected by a removable PVC
shield, which allows easy cleaning.
This probe is excellent for the vast majority of product monitoring
situations.
New Improved wide P2 Probe
Solinst also offer an improved version of their popular wider probe as an optional P2 probe - 38.1mm stainless steel with Teflon filled Delrin tip. The inferred emitter and detector are protected by glass, which is resistant to all chemicals. The new P2 probe retains all the great features of the previous model but the battery and switch now conveniently located on the reel. The heavier weight of this probe makes it more suitable for greater depths.

Heron Sm.Oil
The Heron Sm.Oil Interface meter meets the
requirements for a small, low cost, high quality meter for use in shallow
monitoring wells. Why pay for what you do not need? The 60ft or 20m tape
length of the Sm.OIL makes this unit the ideal unit for shallower wells.
The Sm.OIL uses the same technology as the popular HERON H.01L Interface
Meter. The probes are field serviceable and all the electronics are full
encapsulated for durability. Weighing less than two kilograms, it’s also very

infra-red gas analyser for routine monitoring of landfill sites. This all new

Infrared Gas Analyser:
The GA94 has been confirmed by clients as the
most reliable, rugged and handy landfill gas monitor.
Operation:
An integral pump draws gas through an in-line water trap and a replaceable
filter into a sample chamber.
An infrared beam is projected, via sapphire windows, through the gas sample.
The beam is sensed by three detectors: one for Methane, one for Carbon
Dioxide and one for compensation. A microprocessor calculates the amount of
infrared light absorbed at different wavelengths and determines the various
gas concentration levels present. Readings are shown on a liquid crystal
display as a percentage of gas concentration by volume. Methane
concentrations may also be expressed in terms of a percentage of the Lower
Explosive Limit. Oxygen concentration is measured by the Galvanic Cell
Principle. When gas readings on the display have stabilised, pressing a panel
key stores the readings in memory, together with an identification code and
the current time and date. It is possible to select pre-entered identity
codes thus making the data storing process more rapid. The unit also provides
the option to store gas temperature and leachate level. Temperature can be
recorded automatically by a probe connected to the communications port or
entered manually with data from a separate thermometer. Leachate level is
measured with a clipmeter (water level indicator).
A data logging facility allows an unattended unit to automatically obtain
readings. In addition, the unit has the ability to measure atmospheric
pressure, to make automatic corrections to measured gas concentrations and to
measure the relative vacuum in gas extraction pipelines. Additional gases can
be measured by using one of nine plug-in Gas Pods. The additional gas reading
automatically appears on the Gas Analyser screen. Please note that Gas Pods
are NOT certified as intrinsically safe. Further details available on

The
Hanna Instruments pHep4 & 5 pocket testers are an inexpensive alternative
to water quality meters. These tough testers for pH, are designed for easy
use and accurate measurements. Use it to make quick water quality checks in
almost any application.
These
"top of the range" testers brings even more benefits to the user.
The auto switch-off feature prolongs the life of the batteries, delivering up
to 350 hours of use. Battery life is also displayed as a percentage. The
display indicates when a stable pH value has been reached, ensuring that only
accurate readings are taken. Calibration is either 1 or 2 points with 2 sets
of memorised buffers. Calibration is automatic and can be performed easily,
even by non-technical operators. The display prompts the user to submerge the
tester into pH 7 buffer. After 20 seconds the display prompts immersion in
the second buffer (4 or 10 pH). When that is completed, the meter is
automatically calibrated and returns to operating mode.
